This is a framework not a game. When you try to buy the games to install it says it cant reach the store. So you cant play. I think this failed as an idea and they never removed it. The Atari version is just as bad.

I said no to buy every game 6.99 but then it took my money!

These classic console and arcade games need a physical controller. Touch screen is no good for many games.

It brings back the days from the 70s and 80s when games were super simple! Also, elements of Comic Bakery (a game for the MSX and Commodore 64) can be heard in the Main Menu Theme!

This is a great release. It is so much fun to see these games again. Just hearing the sounds will take you back. I am sure it is hard to take a game that was built for Atari and run it on touch / gyro for the iPhone, but Id like them to take another crack at the controls. Right now it is more of a neat to see opportunity than an actual game. Its a shame too. My kids are very excited to play these old games. Perhaps consider an AppleTV mode to run the game on a tv screen (like we used to) and devote the phone to controls. Apple has to be thinking about doing this anyway. Tons of games could be powered this way. Think of the opportunities for these old games and the current / future games on iOS (multiplayer, flight sims with dedicated controls, custom feedback...) Looking forward to updates.

Misleading. It only gives you Kaboom, then directs you back to the App Store to buy the rest of their games. Will be erasing this.

Ok so the app only has on game its called kaboom! You can see the others but there locked so you cant play them so they shouldve just called this game kaboom! Or actually made all those games. Kaboom! Is not a bad game but its just not a great game

I know many people are asking this... "Why the @$&# are we only to play the one game free!?" I sure am. You think I like paying for games when the application is free and in the details doesnt say &$@% about paying. I am disapointed in the fact we have to pay for these old fashioned games, that clearly dont work on the phone, even though I could just hop on my PC and download an emulator instead of playing this &$@*! I like the fact we can look at the classic game cases though. Thats a really nice touch. For someone to look at the cover of "PITFALL!," so the kids and people who dont have the funds to pay for it can sit there looking at the classic game case crying they cant jump over a @&$+ing hole in the geound or dodge a scorpion. Oh, but they can if they have a fully functioning PC or Mac. And you know what, thats just what Im gonna do. So see ya! Im off to play the better version on my computer!

You can only play one free game...its fun, but you need to spend seven dollars to get the full experience.

The game hitches after almost every control input making the game impossible to play. I really dont that making atari games run smoothly on iOS is that hard.

I just found out that the Ataris Greatest Hits App has gotten a fixed compatibility for iOS 8. Do you think you can get something like that?

While the emulation in this app is good, and its a nice touch to have all the extras the app gives, the app suffers from a lack of good controls. The on-screen control setup in this app makes the games much more difficult to play than they should be. Of course, given that these games were intended to have physical controls, a better improvement would be the inclusion of MFi controller support.

Its totally awesome!

You only get to play one crappy game and the rest are incredibly expensive. Save your time and download these games from the internet.

The controls are really bad.

I really enjoy this app, but an update is needed. Every time I fire, the game freezes for a short time. It did not do this until the last couple of iOS updates.
