Activision Anthology App Reviews

These games ran fine before, but now their performance is awful on iOS 8 on a an iPad 2.

I just want to play pitfall for free not pay for why buy the app when I can get all the games and the system for 2$ on eBay or at a pawn shop

Cannot play any games as the animation constantly freezes, stops and jumps. Not sure if it because of the ios upgrade or if the app developer needs to update and get the bugs out but until then i give this app a Zero.

... will Donkey Kong, Frogger, and Space Invaders ever be included? Or are they Atari?

Honestly, I thought this game would be good, having all the games, but no. There is only one game on it and you have to pay to get more. Not worth it

First off, these are the Atari 2600 games that I remember. In that respect its good. I just wish I could play these games. Be it D-pad, tilt, or touch follow, the games are almost unplayable. What good is such a wealth of games, if playing them is next to impossible?

I would like to give this more stars but it needs to be updated for todays screen sizes.

When I first saw this app I bought the packages that had my favorite games. Was disappointed that there wasnt a traditional Atari 2600 style joystick controller. The only games that are playable are Megamania and Enduro, and those are shaky at best. Tilt control is the only way these two games work, yet it isnt as responsive as a joystick. Games like Pitfall and Keystone Capers are unplayable, as none of the three controller options allow you to run and jump with the precision that is required. Until a joystick controller is made or emulated for this game package, users will only be disappointed as I was.

The controls are extremely laggy, the games look awesome however its annoying to play with laggy controls

So I downloaded the game on my iPhone and got into it and went to purchase the $2.99 game pack to play pitfall and now every time I try to open the app it crashes. I uninstalled and deleted it from my phone and reinstalled it and it STILL crashes! What gives!

This is perfect. Awesome games, but PLEASE add support for mfi controllers!

Controls are completely unresponsive. Waste of 7 bucks and a whole lot of frustration for a few moments of nostalgia.

These games from Activision are a blast from the past! Im giving this 4 stars because the gameplay and audio are lagging and this need to be fixed. If it is fixed, Ill give it a new rate of 5 stars!
